Picoplat Young Artist Collective comprises some of Trinidad's most celebrated young singers, led by Musical Director June Nathaniel, Creative Director Natalia Dopwell and Stage Director Dr. Helmer Hilwig.
Advanced Student Singers
Our productions feature soloists from local and international vocal programs, many returning from graduate and undergraduate study to participate in our annual T&T Opera Festival
International Guest Artistes
Guest artistes at previous productions have included Canadians baritone Justin Welsh and soprano Cara Adams, Chilean tenor Diego Godoy-Gutierrez, Polish mezzo soprano Marta Wryk, and UK based Trinidadian heldentenor Ronald Samm. NYC based pianists Dr. Jeffrey Middleton and Byron Sean Burford-Phearse. Visiting artistes are encouraged to give free public masterclasses to ensure that local performers benefit from their extensive knowledge.
Young, Upcoming Talents
Our Young Artist Collective chorus also comprises many amateur singers who simply wish to experience the joy of performance, some who later advance to become soloists!
